God Must Have Spent (A Little More Time On You)

The End

JC’s house was in for a complete remodel job. If he couldn’t get all the things he needed for his new bride done here, he was building new. Luckily, he found a contractor who said it could be done.

An elevator that went to all three floors.

Bars and trapezes that made the tub accessible.

A handicapped shower.

Closets that made clothes reachable for someone who couldn’t stand.

A kitchen that could work for her or for him.

Ramps.

Fenced in yard.

And lastly, a physical therapy room. Tom was helping with the specifications.

The house in Orlando was handed over to Tyler. He was building a new home for his bride there.

By the time, she said “I do,” Emily would have a renovated, heavenly home to begin her life as Mrs. Joshua Chasez.

“When can I open my eyes?” Emily demanded for the third time since he had headed toward his house. “I have a lot of things to do—“

“Patience, baby.”

“Did I ever tell you patience isn’t one of my more admirable traits?”

“Mmm…no, but I think I figured it out.”

“Josh—“

There was a soft swish sound.

“Okay, open your eyes, Em,” JC told her.

The first sight before her eyes was what seemed to be the doors of a small elevator.

“Well? What do you think?” he asked anxiously.

“An elevator?”

“This is more practical than lifts. You don’t have to get in and out of the chairs.”

She wasn’t about to scold him about the astronomical price tag it must have had. “Thank you, Josh. It’s wonderful.”

“I have a few more surprises upstairs.”

Punching the ‘up’ button, she opened the doors. “If we make it past the bedroom,” she taunted.

“I’ll try to control myself,” he chuckled.

“Think?”

“Yep. One more day and you’re all mine.”

Grabbing a fist full of shirt, she tugged him down to her eye level. “One more day and you’re all mine,” Emily challenged.

JC merely grinned. “Works for me!”
